Successful Completion of 15 FRAC-IN Injections at FARMAK!
We're thrilled to announce that our drilling team has successfully completed 15 FRAC-IN injections as part of the ongoing LIFE FRAC-IN project at FARMAK. Using pressurized air at up to 12 bars, we induced pneumatic fracturing. These fractures were then filled with a mixture of coarse sand, waste iron chips, and commercial microscale iron powder, followed by a flush with emulsified vegetable oil enriched with nutrients. This milestone showcases our commitment to innovative and sustainable practices in environmental remediation. Stay tuned for more updates on our groundbreaking projects!
Exciting News from the Battelle 2024 Chlorinated Conference!
We are thrilled to announce that our consoorium had the incredible opportunity to present at this year's prestigious Battelle Chlorinated Conference! Our team proudly presented the LIFE FRAC IN project, demonstrating the FRAC IN technology’s swift and effective remediation of a site contaminated with chlorinated solvents. The technology showcased significant site improvements and potential for wider environmental remediation use. We’re grateful for the engaging discussions at our session. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to explore and innovate in our field. Together, we’re driving change!
frac-in to be presented on the csme-2020
The results of the Frac-In pilot test were scheduled to be presented on the 2020 Chlorinated Conference – Battelle, though due to Covid-19 outbreak the conference was re-scheduled to 2021. Therefore, the results will be presented on 2020 – Contaminated Site Management in Europe held at Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research GmbH-UFZ, Leipzig, Germany, November 2-4, 2020.
New source of iron fillings
New source of iron filling capable of providing high amounts of the material was identified. Laboratory tests of the reactivity of the new material are on the way.
Laboratory test of milled iron sulfidation
Laboratory tests aiming on the optimisation of sulfidation agent dose for sulfidation of milled iron were performed. Later on, the selected sulfidation milled iron materials were tested for their reactivity with TCE. It was shown, proper sulfidation of milled iron cause significant (more than 3 times) increase of TCE degradation compared to milled iron only.
frac-in presented to authorities in czechia
The results of pilot test of Frac-In technology on a locality in Czechia were presented to the representatives of the Czech Ministry of the Environment, the Czech Environmental Inspectorate and researchers and competitors within the workshop organised by DEKONTA, a.s. and other partners o September 9 in Clarion Congress Hotel, Olomouc city.
